Fairwell Cambodia! Until next time! We just flew into Singapore. We have 5 hours until our next flight leaves for San Francisco. I should be returning around 7pm Sunday evening. Singapore airlines asked for somebody strong to sit next to the evacuation exit in case something happens and people need to get evacuated. Guess whose seat was next to the evacuation window? Mine.See you all when I get back!
Okay everyone, here it is! All the preparation and ideas became a reality this morning. This was definitely the highlight of my trip and the actual intent of my journey. This is what was needed to bring my trip to its culmination. I enjoyed all that I was able to take in during these 10 days and I have memories that will last for a lifetime. Like I said before, the life of Cambodia is within the people. The arts and monuments were breathtaking, but the life was within the children that I was blessed to interact with today.
All the kids met me upon arrival. They were like a miniature army! They were all lined up and evenly spaced and greeted me all in unison.

doing a little bit of show and tell…

haha. This is classic. She was the first brave one to come up and show everyone what a professional she was in brushing her teeth. She was a bit shy but to cure it, I put my invisible glasses on her and she disappeared.

They were all eager to learn and couldn’t wait to get home and show the rest of their family what they learned at school today.
My assistant Andres Garcia. He did a great job. He helped me teach and helped the kids out when needed. I asked him to reconsider his career in sociology for a career in dentistry with me.
